CHRISTMAS!!!

Caleb had his first "real" Christmas this year! Last year he was only 12 days old, so that doesn't count! He still didn't have any idea what was going on but I think he at least enjoyed his toys! He really didn't want any part of opening his gifts, but maybe he will get the hang of it next year! We had such a wonderful Christmas and are so lucky to have friends and family who love and care about us so much!

We are SO excited about Christmas this year!! This will be Caleb's 2nd Christmas but really his first one to do anything!! We went and had pictures done the other day and here are some for your viewing pleasure!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALEB!

Well Caleb had his 1st Birthday!!! The party went great and I hope everyone had a great time!! Thanks to everyone, Caleb has a TON of toys! He wasn't too excited about the smash cake but he got into it in the end!!! We also had our 1 year check up at the Dr. Monday. Caleb weights 23lbs 13oz and 31 inches long and is completely healthy and right on track with everything!

Christmas Time!

Sorry I didn't post about Thanksgiving, we left the camera at home for both visits to my parents and Todd's, but Caleb had a good time eating!! He was a little shy at Phiney and PopPop's because there were so many people, but I still think he enjoyed it. He got to eat green rice, mac and cheese, squash casserole, mashed potatoes, turkey, and a little bit of rolls. We also put up the Christmas Tree this past weekend...Caleb wasn't really interested in it at the time because he was playing with the vacuum, but he has taken a little bit of an interest now! We baby(and dog) proofed it by putting a baby pen around it, but he still tries to get some ornaments every once in a while. Caleb also found the unwrapped toys in the closet which he already has a black eye from falling on!! We definitely have to keep that door shut now!!! Caleb is now a full time walker!!! He is all over the place...he does NOT want to put in a buggy anymore at the grocery store, all he want to do is get out and push it. It's actually pretty cute, but can be a little frustrating at times when you are actually trying to shop! We are just about off formula too...so excited about that!!! Now if we can just get rid of that bottle!!

Well, Caleb's walking is getting better with time. He has actually starting venturing out on his own now! It's so cute to not be paying attention and then notice that Caleb is walking across the room!! he's still pretty wobbly but he can definitely get from place to another.I think the most I've seen has been 12-15 steps...he's only gone this far a couple of times. His balance has gotten much better also, he stands alone a whole lot now and can stand there for a pretty long period of time. I'm so excited about his birthday and christmas!! we've definitely been shopping!!

Yay Caleb!!

So I'm trying to be a better blogger and update the blog more than twice a month! Not much more to report at this time except that Caleb has been pretty consistent with his steps. He can only take about 1 to 3 steps at a time and he is still pretty wobbly but he's getting there! Something else I forgot to mention last time...Caleb loves to play peek a boo! He will even do it himself...It is so cute. He will sit there and pull a blanket or whatever he can get his hands on and put it over his face, then pull it down and waits for you to say "peek a boo" and then he starts laughing!

Well I have a couple of things to update this time. First, Caleb took his very first steps last night (two actually)!! I was sitting on the computer checking my email and chatting on facebook, when I looked over Caleb was just free standing and then took one step....then another!! He didn't even fall....He was trying to get to his toy and he made it!!! I was so excited!!! He hasn't done it since but it still counts! Caleb was also in his first wreck this week...We were riding as a family to toys r us and Tuscaloosa Toyota when we were hit from behind sitting at a light. After everything it ended up being a four car wreck blocking the entire bridge from Northport into Tuscaloosa. Caleb was fine,but he still got checked out in the Mercedes ambulance!! I think we were all sore but everyone is fine...thankfully. On a lighter note here are some things that I have not really mentioned over the last month or so. Caleb is now clapping his hands along to patty cake (which is soo cute), he will give you a "high five", he will wave "bye bye", and he will actually play with his toys. He has a basket ball hoop that he will sit there and just keep putting the balls in and he also has a helicopter that he puts the balls in the top of it, he gets so excited if you cheer for him while he plays!!

Halloween!!

Caleb experienced his first Halloween yesterday and he loved it! We only went to a few houses but Caleb knew exactly what to do with the candy!!

Sorry I've been a little behind on my posting. Caleb makes posting a little difficult!! He loves to play with the computer and keyboard, which makes it a little hard to do anything on the computer with him around!! Anyway, not a whole lot of change here, Caleb is getting a little better with trying to walk. He can walk along pretty much anything and can walk holding on to just one of your hands(he struggles just a little with this!), but will not try to walk alone yet. he will get there though! He is literally getting into any and everything these days, especially if he thinks he's not suppose to be touching it!!! And he loves to open and close doors!!! We went and had his Halloween pictures done yesterday, they came out really cute....Sorry I can't post them, the jerks at the photo place would not let us buy the CD unless we bought a ton of pictures so we just figured we would do that at his one year/Christmas pictures. My Brother was here for a couple of days and Caleb LOVED him!! I guess it was partly because he let Caleb play with all kinds of stuff he normally wouldn't be able to have!(Iphone,watches,wallet...ect.)!! I also noticed yesterday that Caleb will be getting those front teeth soon, you can start to see the white under the gums!!! he won"t look like a vampire much longer!!
